Infant and Toddler Learn To Swim
You and your child will enjoy exploring the water together in our 85° instructional pool and learning through play. Infants and toddlers are taught water exploration, floating, blowing bubbles, kicking, and other skills. This class is also designed to help parents feel more comfortable with their children in the water. A parent or guardian must be in the water at all times with their child during the class. Our instructor will help facilitate the group. Children must wear a swim diaper at all lessons. Ages 6-35 months.
Preschool Learn To Swim
Young children will enjoy the small group setting of our preschool class, building their comfort in and around the water. Beginning skills such as proper air exchange, floating, and kicking are introduced. Children learn and develop at different paces, so some may be ready for introductory freestyle skills. Instructors will teach to each child’s ability level. Coach-to-student ratio is 1:4. Ages 3 & 4 years.
Children's Learn To Swim
This class utilizes the nationally recognized SwimAmerica™ program that was developed by the American Swimming Coaches Association. SwimAmerica™ is a technique oriented, progressive, 10-station program. This program will teach your child goal setting, and give them a feeling of self-confidence as they advance through the levels. Children are evaluated at their first lesson to determine their level, and placed in groups with other children of similar ability. During the course of the program, children start with introductory skills, such as proper air exchange and floating, and work their way up to all four competitive strokes, turns, dives and water safety skills. Instruction in each class is based on your child’s individual need. Our coach to student ratio is 1:5 for the lower levels and 1:7 for higher levels. Ages 5-17.
Adult Learn To Swim
Whether you are a true beginner or you want to improve your stroke technique, we have an adult class is for you. Our highly trained instructors tailor the lessons based on each participant’s needs and goals. Coach-to-student ratio is 1:5. Ages: 18+
We are pleased to announce a partnership with Indy Aquatic Masters for our beginner classes on Monday and Wednesday nights at the IU Natatorium. This is a beginner level class for swimmers with little or no experience.
