Toddler Water Adjustment
You and your child will enjoy exploring the water together in our 85° instructional pool and learning through play. Toddlers are taught water exploration, floating, blowing bubbles, kicking, and other skills. This class is also designed to help parents feel more comfortable with their children in the water. A parent or guardian must be in the water at all times with their child. Our instructor will facilitate the class. Children must wear a swim diaper at all lessons. Coach-to-student ratio is 1:1 for a private lesson and 1:2 for a semi-private lesson (families). Ages 24-35 months.
Preschool Learn To Swim
Young children will enjoy the individualized instruction of a private lesson, building their comfort in and around the water. Beginning skills such as proper air exchange, floating, and kicking are introduced. Children learn and develop at different paces, so some may be ready for introductory freestyle skills. Instructors will teach to each child’s ability level. Coach-to-student ratio is 1:1 for a private lesson or 1:2 for a semi-private lesson (families). Ages 3 & 4 years.
Children's Learn To Swim
This class utilizes the nationally recognized SwimAmerica™ program that was developed by the American Swimming Coaches Association. SwimAmerica™ is a technique oriented, progressive, 10-station program. This program will teach your child goal setting, and give them a feeling of self-confidence as they advance through the stations. Children are evaluated at their first lesson to determine their skill level. During the course of the program, children start with introductory skills, such as proper air exchange, floating, and kicking, and work their way up to all four competitive strokes, turns, dives and water safety skills.
- Station 1: Air Exchange
- Station 2: Floats and Glides
- Station 3: Introduction to Kicking
- Station 4: Crawl Stroke
- Station 5: Freestyle
- Station 6: Backstroke
- Station 7: Introduction to Breaststroke and Butterfly
- Station 8: Turns
- Station 9: Lifetime Strokes
- Station 10: Individual Medley
Instruction in each class is based on your child’s individual need. Our coach to student ratio is 1:1 for a private lesson and 1:2 for a semi-private lesson (families). Ages 5-17.

Whether you are a true beginner, want to improve your stroke technique for fitness swimming, or train for a triathlon, our program is for you. Our highly-trained instructors tailor the lessons based on each participant’s needs and goals. Coach-to-student ratio is 1:1 for a private lesson and 1:2 for a semi-private lesson (families). Ages: 18+
We are pleased to announce a partnership with Indy Aquatic Masters for our beginner classes at the IU Natatorium. This is a beginner level class for swimmers with little or no experience. We will cover the basics of swimming strokes and water safety including overcoming fear of the water, floating, gliding, stroke introduction, and deep water skills. Once you have passed this class, you'll be ready for additional stroke development through Jaguar Swim School.
