Summer Day Camp Registration Now Open!

Summer Day Camp will consist of nine weeks of camp beginning June 3rd and running through Aug 9th *. With 27 years of experience, Summer Day Camp offers children ages 5-12 an opportunity to explore many different sports and activities taught in a safe, non-competitive environment. Our Day Camp is held in the facilities of the IUPUI Sport Complex conveniently located in downtown Indianapolis. Swimming lessons in the world renowned Natatorium are part of the daily routine for each camper. Your children are guided and cared for by our trained counseling staff, certified in First Aid and CPR. The camp staff is at least 18 years of age; all have athletic experience and most have educational backgrounds in their collegiate experience. Our staff operates on a minimum of one counselor for every 10 campers 7 - 12 years old and a minimum of one counselor for every 8 campers 5 - 6 year olds.

Academic infusions taught by IUPUI professors in campus classrooms provide an added benefit to a well-rounded curriculum.

*Camp will not be in session June 24 - 28. During this week, the Natatorium is proud to once again host the Phillips 66 USA Swimming National Championships and World Championship Trials. Tickets will be on sale through the Natatorium website. Come join the excitement as the US team competes for individual national champion and world championship team bragging rights!

New Leadership for Summer Day Camp

The Sport Complex recently hired Beth Tharp to lead Summer Day Camp. After receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from IUPUI, Beth started teaching and coaching in Columbus, Indiana in 2008. She graduated with her Master's Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Ball State University in 2012. A big believer in the positive impact children have on this world daily, Beth is truly honored to be a part of an organization that is dedicated to empowering youth. In her spare time, Beth can be found training for a Tough Mudder, or cheering on her favorite Indiana sports teams with her husband Anthony, and her English Bulldog, Rugie. Beth can be reached at tharpe@iupui.edu or (317) 278 - 3727.
